Girls Dress Sewing Pattern for Easter

Super excited about this adorable girls dress sewing pattern / tutorial for Easter. I will say upfront… not our best photo {haha} Rose wasn’t feeling great and it was a bit cool for this dress outside.. and I may have left the photoshoot until the last day before I wanted to post this.. So enjoy the dress, but ignore the facial expressions…

Girls Dress Sewing Pattern for Easter-

This Easter dress tutorial is a combination of the free t-shirt dress pattern with the circle skirt AND the flutter sleeves tutorial. I added a second skirt layer as the top layer is lace. Rose has been wearing this Christmas Dress, even though its not Christmas time anymore… she loves the long skirt for twirling.. SO, I made this circle skirt longer than the one in the original T-shirt dress pattern. You can use the top from the t-shirt dress and the original shorter skirt OR use the circle skirt tutorial math to make the skirt longer. I cut two identical skirts and sewed them as one to the top. Follow the t-shirt dress tutorial to put it all together, just add the second skirt… I used the flutter sleeve tutorial instead of the pattern sleeves for added sprin{y}ness.

I wasn’t sure how the coverstitch would work on the lace.. but it worked perfectly. You can see in the photo above that I didn’t get the hems perfectly even… Opps! I guess we will have to do lots of twirly so no one will notice.
