I’ve now filmed three SIX seasons of It’s Sew Easy and the experience is really a fun one. I’ve also learned a lot and grown in the last year. I’ve always been pretty comfortable with myself and doing my live shows has given me confidence in talking to a camera, but I still feel like this last season was my best… You will have to tell me what you think…
Filming It’s Sew Easy on PBS
Last February I went to Cleveland to film a few episodes of the PBS show It’s Sew Easy. My Episodes are finally getting ready to air on a station near you and I’m also in the process of filming more segments this week {Aug 2018}. I decided it was time to share about my experience and give some links for those of you who don’t get the show in your area.
You can stream the older seasons on PRIME VIDEO.
It’s Sew Easy on PBS
The photos shared here were taken on the set of the show at the studio in Cleveland. There are a few photos from Feb and I was able to get a lot more when I was just there in Aug. As mentioned above you can see which outfits I was wearing for each season. I will continue to add to this post as my segments are added to YouTube and the It’s Sew Easy Site. Here are a bunch of photos from the new segments.. check back later to see details for those episodes as I get them.
The studio is a fun place to be and the crew is great. I usually arrive early in the morning to set up and then get my makeup done. That part is really fun as it’s fun to be pampered. Of course it’s WAY more makeup than I usually wear and these photos look strange to me as my face doesn’t usually look like this. Here is the green room where we set up and prep.
I film in the morning and we try to do the segments straight through, but sometimes I have to stop and start at a certain place again. I wear an ear piece so I can hear what the producer wants to tell me. Here is the room where we film.
Note from June 2020 – documenting the mask wearing on the set and while not filming… Someday can can look back and be glad we made it through this crazy time!!
I’ve added the newest photos first here, and also the promo videos at the bottom. Again, a big thanks to my fabric sponsors {listed below} and my family who gives me the time away while I head off to Cleveland to film for a day.

Great show!
What is the model of the Brother cover stitch used in the show? (In particular I was watching the episode, “How to sew a tank top.”
