I’m SOOO excited to be the one to kick off the Sew Many Books series this year. I’m sharing my Sew Many Books Olivia post today with my adorable niece as my model. My boys love the Olivia books and I love the clothes she wears… I was excited to use the books to create a cute and functional play outfit. Before we get to more pictures have you entered the giveaway? And read about the sew a long?!?! GO HERE!
Riley Blake Designs sponsored the fabric for this post. THANKS!!!
So cute, right? I used more the theme of Olivia’s dress rather than an exact replication. I actually think her jumper is super cute, but my niece isn’t even 2, so I wanted something more comfortable for her. The out fit is three parts, so can be worn together or mixing and matching with other clothes.
The striped knit from Riley Blake is SO amazingly soft and has amazing stretch. I was with my mom when I got it, and she loved it so much she about 10 yards to make the grandkids Christmas Pjs out of it!
Let’s talk patterns…
For the skirt, I just made it up. It’s a simple elastic waist skirt with pockets.
The top is from the Peek a Book Lullaby Line, you can get the pattern here.
The leggings are the free pattern from Go TO Patterns. Its actually only through 12 months, but I found it easy to upsize.
I think it’s safe to call this playwear as my niece had a blast running around the back yard in this Sew Many Books Olivia outfit.
Wow, looks at those blue eyes! Thanks for being an sweet model and a sweet girl.
Okay, don’t forget to enter the giveaway before you leave and come back on Wed. for another gorgeous book inspired post!
