How clever! I could have used this idea when my wee ones were in cloth diapers. They had to wear pants that were at least a size or two too big… Those big diaper bums were so cute, though!

Hi Emily,
I’m always so in awe of people who can sew – I’m hopeless when it comes to putting on a darn button 🙁
Thank you for following me on Twitter before, I’m following you back now.

Super cute!

Adorable! Love the pants! I’ve done this many times when my kids were in cloth diapers. Sewing patterns never seem to think of the huge cloth diaper bums.

Smart idea! I love sewing, but I don’t really try it if I don’t have a pattern. The few times I have tried its been sort of an epic failure…

Would you mind sharing what pattern you used for the top monkey bum pants? That style is my favorite, and the fit is exactly what I’m looking for for my little chunker! Thanks so much. 🙂
Emily says
The pattern was from the book One Yard Wonders… You can find it on Amazon or in bookstores ;o)
