Every summer I sew coordinating outfits for the cousins on my side of the family. At Christmas my mom makes them all matching Pajamas. It’s been fun to see the kids grow – along with my sewing ability over the years as the family has expanded. Here are this years coordination cousin outfits.
Coordinating outfits – cousin photos
First, there are ten kids here 1o years of age an younger. Please don’t judge my ability as a photographer to get them all looking at the camera and smiling. We had one little one who was over tired in this moment and I’m sure you will be able to spot her soon in the photos… oh and my daughter was mad in this photo becuase we wouldn’t let her hold the baby {haha}
At the end of the this post I’ll link to all the past years.. I think I’ve been sewing these coordinating outfits for 6 or 7 years now… but for this years clothes I used the Heidi and Finn Sugar and Spice Romper pattern and my FREE Boys TEE pattern. The romper pattern goes from 12m – 12 years, and I was able to size down the romper for the 3 month baby. The boys are wearing my free tee pattern in a size 6, 7 and 8. I used organic bamboo cotton for the skirts and boys shirts and the tops of the girls was cute floral fabric was from Fabric.com made by Riley Blake, but I can’t seem to find more of it. May be sold out for the season. You can find lots of other gorgeous floral prints here. And now….. sit back with a cup of coffee and enjoy the show.. .I’ve got lots of photos for you.. plus the older photos at the bottom.
The pattern comes with a romper and sundress version and I made some of each. Personally I think the romper is just so adorable…
Here’s the two bookends of the cousins.. 3 months and 10 years.Cousins just 2 months apart in age…
Some of the girls…
The whole crew again… this is a pretty good one of everyone!
Two cuties in their blue rompers!
Beautiful twins… My brother and his wife have 3 girls and a boy… the youngest two are twins..
And out of 10 cousins, there are only 3 boys… so happy that they are all close in age and have a blast together when we are all around each other. We were trying to get them to make a “tough guy” face…
And a final shot of my three… they are growing up so fast!! Rose learned to swim and bike this summer, plus got her ears pierced… no more babies around here!
Okay and now for the coordinating outfits of years past…

Oh these outfits are just so sweet, I especially love the wedding outfits. I think you did a great job with photographing the group shots, they are always much more difficult and it’s just much more memorable with the natural emotions (even if it’s anger or sulken faces).

Hello Emily, I love the idea of coordinating outfits. All are looking so cute and fashionable. I will surely try this idea for my kids and their cousins at the time of getting together. Thanks for sharing such a lovely blog. Keep posting!
