Check out the social hub here for more Kellogg inspiration! Are you ready to make a DIY trick or treat bag with felt? Let’s get started… You will need felt {in whatever colors you want your bag} I used grey, orange and green. You can adjust the size of your trick or treat bags based on what felt you have. Cut the felt to the shape you want, then add details with a marker. Cut 2″ strips for the bag side and 1″ strips for the handle. The stiffer the felt the better. Check out the photos and video below to make your own bag!
I cut a few details for my pumpkin bag. I sewed those to the top of the pumpkin bag first.
Sew on the side of the felt bag, starting down a couple inches from the top. Do not sew the bag side up all the way.
Place the side and the front with wrong sides together, and just sew along the edge.
Place the back and side together with wrong sides together and sew on the back. Trim the 2″ strip to match on both sides.
Take the 1″ strip and sew and handle to both sides of the bag side.
Make a pumpkin, ghost or any fun shape you can dream up. Then fill with fun Kellogg Halloween snacks and enjoy trick or treating! What bag shape will you make?
My kids are going to be cowboys and a butterfly this year for trick or treating and will be carrying these cute DIY Halloween Trick or Treat bags.
