I read the Harry Potter books as they came out. The waiting between books was SO hard and I have so many memories attached to the days I was reading those books over the years. My husband and I have the whole series in hard cover books and now we’ve been passing on our love of these stories to the boys. With the new Harry Potter dolls at Walmart we can share the stories AND the fun with our kids. They boys love using these dolls to act out their favorite moments.
Harry Potter Style Robe Free Pattern –
Today I’ve got a free doll robe pattern for you as well as details about these super fun Harry Potter Dolls. We have the Harry Doll and the ALBUS DUMBLEDORE doll and the boys have been using them to recreate moments from the books, {sometimes just using the wands as swords and having a duel – haha} BOYS! I’ve got a robe free pattern that you can make as well to give Harry {or others} some options for clothes.. have a school robe and a home robe, or make it a QUIDDITCH robe! Head over to THIS POST to download the Harry Potter Style Robe Free Pattern and get the details for putting it together.
Here are the dolls in their original clothing. The details are amazing! These film-inspired dolls bring Harry Potter and his friends back to Hogwarts! {and beyond!} The glasses and wands are removable and Harry even has the classic “lightning bolt” scar on his forehead! The dolls have eleven “joints” — in the neck, shoulders, hips, knees, elbows and wrists — and can stand on their own. You can easily manipulate and position them to all your favorite poses!
There are six dolls to collect and the back of the box has all kind of fun information about them.
For more fun make some more clothes to fit these dolls.
Harry really liked “watching” while I was sewing up his new robe. We picked fun wolf/moon fabric for the lining and dark blue for the outside. You can make in any fabric and colors, but I felt like these reflected the mood of the stories well.
The finished doll robe fit Harry perfectly and then he was back in the action with his mentor Dumbledore. My boys have never really played with “dolls” before, but these are perfect for boys and girls to play with and inspire their imagination.
Didn’t Harry’s new wolf robe turn out great? Again, you can download this pattern for yourself HERE. It comes in doll size {shown here} AND teddy bear size if you have more toys that want to get in on the Harry Potter action!
