Game Day Fry Bar with dips and DIY Fry plates
Ok! So let’s talk about how easy it is to create a fry bar for your next party and then at the bottom you will find the details for creating the cute plates.
I don’t know about you, but when I have people over I don’t want to be stuck in the kitchen managing the food. It’s more like I want to be in the kitchen eating the food {haha} But, seriously, I want something I can serve that everyone likes and is easy to organize.
This game day fry bar has very little prep, and I can serve a lot of people. Plus, fries are always a hit! And look at how cute it turned out with a few easy decorations I grabbed from Walmart when I was there for the fries and dip.
When you head to Walmart to grab your McCain fries I’ve got a great deal for you. Until 5/31/19, you can get $1.50 off when you purchase 2 participating McCain products at Walmart. You can submit your rebate & learn more details here.
Grab at least three kinds a fries/potatoes for a fun spread and cook them up when you get home. I love using my air fryer to make crispy fries at home, but you can also bake or deep fry.
We love McCain products as they are made with real potatoes you can taste and are easy to prepare for your game day fun. Here are the fries I bought – McCain® Craft Beer Battered Thin Cut Fries – load them up with toppings, McCain® Smiles® Mashed Potato Shapes – fun shapes, McCain® Extra Crispy Crinkle Fries – SO crispy!
They all have such a crispy outside for a great crunch with every bite and are perfect for layering or dipping. We chose dipping because our family loves to dip all the things…
Here’s a recipe for Easy Homemade BBQ sauce if you want to make your own:
- 1 cups ketchup.
- 1.5 tablespoons brown sugar.
- 1 tablespoons soy sauce (use gluten-free, such as Tamari, for a gluten-free version)
- 1 tablespoons vegetarian Worcestershire sauce.
- 1 tablespoons apple cider vinega
- small pinch of red pepper flakes (or more to taste)
- 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced I use from a jar (about 2 teaspoons)
Blend all together in a blender and then serve warm for the fries. YUM! You can also check out the recipe for my Asian Inspired Dips or my Spinach Dip but clicking the links.
While I was shopping I also grabbed a couple of party decor items to complete our table. All in all this was an easy way for me to serve a crowd at our game day party. I always have more fries on hand and can just cook as needed.
I put out four easy dips, but you can use what your group likes. We had ranch, nacho cheese, ketchup and barbecue.
