I’ve found some amazing tutorials and patterns to sewing tutorials for travel, where ever your road may take you.
I love to sew for travel! There are so many amazing tutorials for everything you need for travelling, whether by car or plane, you can SEW the TRAVEL accessories that you will need for your trip! Earlier this month when I had the privilege to go on a retreat sponsored by Universal Resorts, I took my laptop cover, kindle cover, and sunglasses case, all sewn by me. Today I’m also sharing other sewing tutorials for travel that I just adore. Prepare for your next trip to Universal Orlando or any other fabulous destination by sewing up some cute travel accessories.
Super inspiring, right? You can scroll to the end of this post for all the links to these travel sewing tutorials, but first I want to show you why I was inspired to write this post. The first week in May I went to Orlando, Florida for a blogging retreat. Our stay at the Cabana Bay Resort in Universal was incredible. For the flight and week there, I took my homemade laptop cover, kindle cover and sunglasses case… They looked so pretty laid out on the hotel bed.
Check out the adorable retro themed room we stayed in! I roomed with Marissa from Rae Gun Ramblings, she was actually the only one I had met in person before the trip. The others were “online” friends.. but it was SO NEAT to see people in person!
Okay, back to our room!
I was so tired from the trip there I just had to rest for a moment… The whole resort was themed, made me think I should bring my kids back, so fun! We spent the mornings in the Resort cafeteria area {drinking from our unlimited drink cups} and sharing ideas on blogging. I learned so much. Plus I got to meet these lovely ladies in person, many of which I talk to online all the time!
We were treated by Universal to delicious meals at fabulous restaurants… like this one – The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium.
We were also given express passes for the rides at Universal studios and I LOVED the rides… I didn’t remember ever being at Universal before, but of course my mom dug up an old photo of us there when I was a kid. I didn’t remember it, so I acted like a kid and enjoyed all the rides.
We also enjoyed getting to know each other better as we enjoyed Universal and Islands of Adventure parks.
I LOVED seeing the Harry Potter streets. There is one in both parks with the Hogwarts express running between the two. I read the books as they came out and really enjoyed them! It was very cool to see the books come to life.
So there are my latest travels and the things I made to take with me! What have you sewn for travel? Want to see my other travel posts? You can see them in the here in the TRAVEL section. And now to all the fun tutorials I’ve found with other tutorials.
